How does Jim protect my payment data?

Jim is PCI DSS 4.0.1 certified. Here's how your customers' card data stays protected.

PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) is the security standard created by the major card brands for any company that stores, processes or sends card data.

Jim is PCI DSS 4.0.1 certified

PCI DSS 4.0.1 is the current version of the standard. This means Jim:

  • Goes through a full security assessment every year.

  • Tests its systems for vulnerabilities regularly.

How Tap to Pay protects card data

  • Each payment is encrypted the moment your customer taps.

  • Jim uses a one-time code instead of the real card number, so it can't be used for another purchase.

  • Card numbers and PINs are never stored on your phone or on Jim's servers.

  • You never see your customer's full card number, and you can't type card details into Jim. See Can I manually type in a customer's card number in Jim?

What this means for you

Jim handles the technical and regulatory side of payment security, so your customers' card data stays protected and you can focus on selling.
