No. For security reasons, it is not possible to manually enter a customer’s credit card number, expiration date, CVV, or any other sensitive payment data into JIM.
JIM only processes transactions through secure, card-present methods. This ensures all payments are handled in compliance with PCI-DSS standards and keeps your customers’ data safe.
How to sell safely?
JIM’s Tap to Pay feature lets you accept payments through your iPhone’s NFC, without any extra hardware.
Open the JIM app
Enter the sale amount
Tap the Sell button
Ask the customer to tap their card or NFC-enabled device on your iPhone
Confirm the payment
Want to send a receipt? At the end of the transaction, enter the customer’s phone number to share a digital receipt.
Why is Tap to Pay safer than typing card details?
Keep your transactions safe with JIM.
Encrypted data transmission
NFC transactions use encryption and tokenization. The card data is never sent in plain text, making it unreadable to fraudsters.
Dynamic security codes
Contactless cards generate a unique, one-time code for each transaction. Even if someone intercepted that code, it couldn’t be reused for another purchase.
No exposure of full card details
With NFC methods, you never see or handle the customer’s card number, CVV, or expiration date directly. That reduces the risk of accidental leaks, screenshots, or malicious use. JIM's features are compliant with PCI-DSS requirements.
By contrast, manually typing in card numbers would:
Require storing or displaying sensitive data.
Increase the risk of human error (e.g., mistyped digits).
Create vulnerabilities for fraudsters to exploit.
