Why do I need to validate my business on Jim?

Business validation is a required step to keep your Jim account active and compliant with U.S. regulations.

From time to time, Jim may ask you to send documents that prove your business activity.

If you got an email asking for documents, your account is restricted until Jim receives them. Send them as soon as you can, so the review moves faster.

What documents can I send?

You don't need to send everything. Any of these helps:

  • Social media or website: Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn or your business website.

  • Storefront: photos of you inside and in front of your store.

  • Sales proof: contracts, invoices or receipts, and delivery confirmations, like a customer signature or chat screenshots.

  • Formal documents: IRS CP 575, IRS Letter 147C, Operating Agreement or Articles of Organization.

You can also send anything else that shows your business is real and active.

How do I send them?

When Jim needs your documents, you'll see it on the home screen of the app. Tap it and follow the steps. If you can't send them in the app, send them in the in-app chat. If you don't see it, update the app.

How long does the review take?

Jim usually reviews your documents within 2 business days. You can follow the status in the app. If everything is approved, your account restrictions are removed.
