This is the walkthrough for your first sale. By the end, you'll have taken a real payment and seen your money land on your Jim Card in seconds.
Before you start
Make sure these are done:
Your seller profile is approved
Your Jim Card is set up and added to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet
You're on an iPhone or Android phone with NFC and up-to-date software
If you're not there yet, follow the First steps guide first.
Pick how you want to get paid
You have two ways to take a sale. Pick the one that fits the moment:
Tap to Pay for in-person. Customer taps their card, phone, or watch on your phone.
Fee: 1.99% per tap.
Payment Link for remote. You send a link by text, email, or DM.
Fee: 4.99% + $0.30 per sale.
Same app, same balance, same Jim Card. You can mix and match all day.
Walkthrough: a Tap to Pay sale

Where your money goes
Both walkthroughs end in the same place: your Jim balance, instantly.
Spend it.
Open Apple Wallet or Google Wallet and tap to pay anywhere Apple Pay or Google Pay is accepted. Or use the card details from the app for online purchases anywhere Visa is accepted.
Move it to your bank (optional).
ACH Transfer, 1.99% + $0.99 per transfer, $15 minimum, same business day if sent during business hours.
Common first-sale questions
What if the card gets declined?
Every sale goes through an automatic security review. If something looks unusual, the sale can be declined. You can't appeal a declined transaction. Try the card again, ask for another card, or send a Payment Link instead.
What if my customer doesn't have a contactless card?
Older chip cards without contactless won't work with Tap to Pay. Send a Payment Link instead, they can type in their card number on the secure page.
Do I need an internet connection?
Yes. Jim needs a data connection to process the sale. Wi-Fi or cell data, either works.
Can I cancel a sale I just made?
Yes. Ask Jim's AI assistant for your statement, select the sale, and choose Cancel sale.
How fast is "in seconds"?
Fast enough that you can spend it on your next supply run. Every sale loads your Jim Card automatically, no button to press, no transfer to wait for.
What to try next
Once your first sale is done, try these:
Share your Jim Website link. Jim already built it from your profile. Put it in your Instagram bio.
Ask Jim a question. Tap the ✨ button and ask "How much did I make today?" or "Are there any markets near me this weekend?"
